About Lantern

Lantern is an AI visibility and agentic commerce platform for ecommerce brands. Shoppers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Grok and Alexa what to buy. Lantern shows a brand where its products rank in those answers, drafts the content and product data changes that earn a recommendation, and tracks the visits, orders and revenue each assistant sends.

Who we are

Lantern was founded by Andrew Lissimore, who built Headphones.com through search and then watched the first AI assistants recommend other stores. The team is small and works at the intersection of model evaluation, commerce systems and design for operators. Lantern connects to Shopify, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace and Wix, and is used by more than 100 brands and the agencies that serve them.

How we measure

Lantern runs the shopping questions a brand's buyers ask, records which brands and pages each assistant names, and repeats the run so one answer never stands in for a trend. The scoring methods are published in full on the Resources pages.
