Store pixel and agent tracking

Lantern watches your AI traffic with two different trackers, and they count two different things.

The store pixel counts people. When a visitor clicks through from an assistant like ChatGPT and lands on your site, the pixel records the visit and any order that follows. It can only count visitors who arrive with an AI referral attached, so it undercounts: why counts differ.

Agent tracking counts the AI systems themselves. Assistants read pages on your site while deciding what to recommend. An agent read is an AI checking you out, not a person visiting: more on AI agents.

How to read the status. Not set up means agent tracking is waiting on your Cloudflare connection. Partial coverage means some agent reads are being caught by the store pixel while the full connection is still worth adding. Active means the tracker is installed and has reported recently. Last visit N min ago is the most recent thing it saw. No agent reads yet means the tracker is working and simply has nothing to report so far. It does not mean something is broken.

What to do. Agent tracking needs your Cloudflare connection before it can see agent reads. If the store pixel goes inactive, check that your storefront still has the pixel installed and reachable, then give it a few minutes after the next visit.
